Company History

Hecht Realty was the first organized Realtor firm in the Lake Norman area and was incorporated in 1971. In December 1976 the firm joined the CENTURY 21 organization. Currently CENTURY 21 Hecht Realty has four full service Residential Sales Offices in the Lake Norman area.

In March 1984 Hecht Realty began a full-time property management department at the Denver location. This was the first of its kind in the Lake Norman area offering full property management services. Today, the Property Management department has representatives in 3 Lake Norman offices.

In April 1988 a separate Commercial/Investment Division was formed and now complete commercial services are available, with commercial representatives in 3 Lake Norman offices.

In July 1989 we recognized the need for relocation services and the Relocation Department was created. Relocation services are a large part of CENTURY 21 Hecht Realty and the full-time staff represents Cendant Mobility transferees as well as Broker to Broker referrals coming from the USA to around the world.

Fast forward to the Fall of 2005, when the management team decided to stay on the cutting edge of technology and added an Internet Marketing and Lead Management Department. This department assists the agents with responses to property inquiries within minutes of being submitted. This department also increases CENTURY 21 Hecht Realty’s web presence, assuring that our listings our found by anyone searching for a property in the Charlotte and Lake Norman area.
